Our Daughter
We are preparing to travel soon to unite with our daughter, LuXue, which means, "Way of the Snow". Her beautiful name is pronounced "LuhSHOO". She was born in December, 2010. Please feel free to follow along with us on this journey. While people often like to point out how much our lives will be turned upside down, try to imagine how her life will be turned upside down. We have been preparing and planning with excited anticipation for a VERY long time, but she is innocent to the fact she will soon be swept away from the world she has come to know by strangers who don't look like her, smell like her, who handle her differently than she is accustomed to, and make strange, unintelligible talking sounds into her face. She will grieve the loss of her caretakers.
Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers as she will be leaving behind the only world she knows at her tender age of 18 months, an age where she will be quite aware her world has shifted beyond comprehension, but will not understand why or what is happening. We are excited beyond belief to unite with LuXue, but our hearts are breaking a little for her as we hope for the best transition possible for our precious Girl, and prepare to give her a life that will allow her unique personality to flourish and provide the opportunity for all her dreams to come true.
